It has released the new calling improvement updates for both Mobile (Android and iOS) and Desktop users. The meta-owned messaging app has said in the blogpost that the calling on this platform continues to grow in popularity around the World. It also said that over 2 billion calls are made on this platform every single day.

WhatsApp 4 new updates for Audio and Video calling feature is available for both Mobile and Desktop users. It four new features includes:
Select Call Participants: Group participant can now select the specific participants when they start a call from group chat that help them to call exactly who they want without disrupting the other group participants. This new feature is handy for users for planning surprise parties or presents or maintain secrecy from other participants.
New Effects for Video calls: After adding the Video calling effects, the meta-owned messaging app have added more effects like adding puppy ears, taking you underwater effect, microphone for Karaoke effect. Users can now choose between ten effects from adding puppy ears, to taking you underwater to transforms their conversation more fun.
Improved Calling on Desktop: There is a new Calls tab on the WhatsApp Desktop app. When the user click on the calls tab then they will find everything then need to start a a call, create a call link, or dial a number directly.
Better quality Video Calls: The meta-owned messaging app now provides the higher resolution video with a clearer picture on both 1:1 and group calls and more reliable. Whether users call from mobile or desktop, it available for both.
