Galaxy S25 Ultra Certification Reveals Satellite Connectivity

The Galaxy S25 Ultra certification reveals that the phone will feature satellite connectivity, making it Samsung’s first smartphone to offer this functionality. The certification came from China’s Quality Certification Centre, where a Samsung device with the model number SM-S9380 was listed. Based on previous models, it’s believed that this is the Galaxy S25 Ultra, as the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s model number was SM-S9280.

Satellite connectivity will allow users to stay connected even in areas without a cellular network. This technology is particularly useful in emergencies, enabling communication when no other options are available. The addition of satellite connectivity places Samsung in line with Apple’s iPhones, which have similar features.

Charging Specifications of the Galaxy S25 Ultra

Apart from satellite connectivity, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is also expected to come with new charging specifications. The certification reveals that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will support 45W charging, which is the same as the previous three generations of the Galaxy Ultra series. However, this time, the charging specification is slightly different.

The new phone will charge using a 15Vx3A specification, unlike its predecessors, which used the 11Vx4.05A specification. While the charging speed remains the same at 45W, this change may offer benefits in terms of charging efficiency or battery life. As of now, there isn’t enough information to confirm the real-world impact of this change.

Design and Performance Rumors

As leaks and rumors continue to surface, we are getting a clearer picture of what the Galaxy S25 Ultra might look like. While there aren’t any drastic changes expected in its design, slight modifications like slimmer bezels and flat side rails are anticipated. The phone’s dimensions are reported to be 162.8 x 77.6 x 8.2 mm, which is slightly smaller than the Galaxy S24 Ultra but is expected to retain the same 6.8-inch display.

In terms of performance, reports suggest that the Galaxy S25 Ultra could feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor. There are also rumors about Samsung using its own Exynos 2500 chip in certain markets. However, these details have yet to be confirmed, and more information will likely emerge as we get closer to the official release.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra certification reveals satellite connectivity, marking a significant step forward for Samsung in terms of innovation. With satellite connectivity and new charging specs, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is shaping up to be a cutting-edge smartphone that caters to both everyday users and those looking for advanced features.
